26. A health professional with the authority to make a diagnosis or to assess a person’s state of health and a chief executive officer of a medical biology laboratory or a clinical department of laboratory medicine must report by telephone as soon as possible to the national public health director and the competent public health director, the following diseases: (1) botulism;
(2) cholera;
(3) yellow fever;
(4) viral haemorrhagic fevers;
(5) Anthrax;
(6) plague;
(7) smallpox.
The person reporting must send a written report to those directors within 48 hours of the telephone communication.
